Specipig participated in the BIOMED ScaleUp programme of CataloniaBioHT

Specipig is one of ten companies chosen to take part in the 2022 BIOMED ScaleUp programme promoted by CataloniaBio & HealthTech in collaboration with Lead To Change (LTC) and support from ACCIÓ (Government of Catalonia). BIOMED ScaleUp aims to promote a solid growth of the biomedicine and health industry in Catalonia.

Over four months, company CEOs and business development directors, took part in training sessions (leadership, innovation, strategy, partnerships and acquisitions, risk matrices, etc.) and advisory sessions led by Xavier Marcet, a reputed corporate entrepreneurship, innovation and strategy consultant and president of LTC. The sessions were held in Barcelona Science Park.

Specipig is currently working as a preclinical CRO in 14 countries and has over 2,400 m2 facilities devoted to biomedical research in Barcelona, and a team of more than 20 highly qualified professionals. The company saw a 50% increase in turnover in 2021.
